Mississippi State at Georgia Tech (-8)- 11:00 AM
Bunkhouse picks: Georgia Tech 27-13

Why? Mississippi State's offense is prone to misfire for weeks at a time. In fact, they haven't been "on track" all season. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech's offense will do enough alongside their opportunistic defense to pull one out in Atlanta.

#9 Alabama (-9.5) at Arkansas- 11:30 AM on Raycom Sports
Bunkhouse picks: Alabama 28-10

Why? Arkansas' offense will move the ball, while Alabama's 15 true freshmen will have an interesting SEC opener on the road. It will take some time to get better, but Bama pulls it out in Fayetteville.

#4 Florida (-7.5) at Tennessee- 2:30 PM on CBS
Bunkhouse picks: Florida 41-17

Why?: Tennessee just doesn't have anything for the tough and speedy Gators. The Vols have too many holes to fill with old fashioned Tennessee Grit before Florida rolls in.

Vanderbilt at Mississippi (-7)- 6:00 PM
Bunkhouse picks: Vanderbilt 27-23

Why? This game will have some yards, but not the points. Penalties and turnovers will see to that. Vandy has some real confidence that will allow them to hold on to this one late, even with some good passing production from Jevan Sneed at the Rebels.

Wofford at South Carolina (no line)- 6:00 PM
Bunkhouse picks: South Carolina 45-13

Why? It's a Division I team vs. a Division II team.

#6 LSU (-3) at #10 Auburn- 6:30 PM on ESPN
Bunkhouse picks: LSU 21-17

Why? This game is always a physical and close game. The spread offense is not helping Auburn's toughness or discipline (penalties and turnovers). Auburn may move the ball some, but the tough LSU ground game grinds it out on The Plains.

#3 Georgia (-7) at Arizona State- 7:00 PM on ABC
Bunkhouse picks: Georgia 31-14

Why? Georgia's ground attack will have the Sun Devils off-balance the whole game. Meanwhile, the Dawg defense will cause enough problems and turnovers to keep this contest at arm's length all the way through.
