Monday Morning Music Choices

The family is officially in our "transition period". Boxes are starting to be filled, moving dates set, and money spent for the move to Nashville.

Yesterday was Ainsley's 2nd birthday. I would have pictures, but our camera found it's way into some water last night. You'll just have to take us on our word that it was a good birthday.

This morning I weighed in a 221 pounds, which is on schedule for the time being. The first five are the hardest to lose, right along with the last five. After I get the ball rolling, it should be pretty easy.

Enough updates, you came here to see what music idiocy I spent money on this morning:

1. Kaya- Bob Marley and The Wailers- I have no idea what it's about, but I've always liked it since The Bunkhouse's own, Taft Ayers lent me a Bob Marley CD my sophomore year of high school. It's got a good melody and beat, even if the words make no sense.

2. Redemption Song- Bob Marley- A nice message to the sin of slavery for the "Great White West." Glad to know I'm still responsible for all that. I like the chorus though.

3. Jamming- Bob Marley and The Wailers- Ok, now we're back to the Mary Jane induced haze and laid back tunes that popularized reggae music. We be jammin'.

4. Winter- Joshua Radin-
I heard this for the first time on Scrubs. His songs are good and convey some sort of message. He probably writes about his life experiences a lot.

5. Closer- Joshua Radin- Apparently this song is about a former girlfriend of his. I also think I picked up on the message he's trying to convey....Depression. "I need medication and counseling" should be his next album title. His songs are great though, some of them powerful, and I appreciate him for writing my new favorite song.

Seriously though, if anyone can help me out with what I wrote on yesterday's post, that would be awesome!

Have a great Monday!
